Why cant teenagers view pornographic material?

Teenagers are bubbling cess pools of hormones but are too young to have sexual intercourse. So why arent they allowed to view pornographic material, I honestly cant see whats wrong with it personally.Why cant teenagers view pornographic material?
Because immature minds can't separate porn from reality. Porn is purely meant to be physical, and sexual. The people are objectified, and the scenarios are reduced to nothing more than their sexual aspect. For example there is porn about rape, incest, gang rape. Only a mature mind can understand that these scenarios are not making broader statements about how we should treat women, what women like in bed, or how they should act, and what situations are okay. I heard a 14 year old boy saying that rape was okay if the girl said it was okay at first and then yelled ';No no! Stop!'; during it. Where do you think he got that if it wasn't from porn. Maybe a 16 year old can handle it, maybe a 14 year old can, maybe a 25 year old can't. But since their is no maturity test where we are given an adult card, 18 is the age that is chosen.Why cant teenagers view pornographic material?
because most pornography is about denigrating women and objectifies sex as a means to achieve this.


Permitting pornography to be viewed by teenagers (who despite their - generally - know it all attitude) are impressionable, would expose them to an indoctrination process that would invariably give them a skewed view on people, relationships and sex in general.
Because you arent of age.. There is a reason the drinking age is 21. You cannot buy cigarettes until you are 18 and you cannot enter a porn shop until you are 21. That is when the law deems you mature to handle that kind of responsibility. So, if you are under these above said ages.... you are not mature, by legal standards.. This isnt a personal blow to your age or ego... Just the facts. If you went into a porn shop right now and bought a movie the owner of the shop would be charged with a sex crime. Besides, there are some people in congress that find this somewhat immoral to let children view porn.... I have 2 children of my own and I have to say that I really dont want this to be my child asking strangers this question on the net one day...
Nor do I. Who the hell decided 18 is old enough and 17 too young? The FBI? Has there been a referendum on the subject? A hearing? Testimony of authoritative witnesses? And, for the matter of that, why isn't the voting age 7 instead of 18? As far as I'm concerned kids have as much right as citizens as anybody. Could they possibly be any more irresponsible or hare-brained than their solemn elders who gave George W. Bush two consecutive terms as president?
because, then thats all they keep thinking about, and keep wondering what the real thing would be like, it is widely believed that this promotes aggressive sexual behavior in teens, so they are (in theory) restricted form watching it, we all know they do it anyway,
If there's a will, there's a way. But you know some of it is really disturbing and teenagers really shouldn't see images like that. It can screw them up mentally.
i think it shudnt b that way, i think it shud b that kids are just as much citizens as all they 18+ people, but they must follow their own parents rules, they r gonna do it anyway, why try to stop em

I'm 16 and I look at porn all the time with ease. Teens do it anyway.
