Does the presentation of crime in video games influence teenagers to commit offences?
I'm more of the view that bad parenting does.
I play pretty violent games, watch violent movies etc... but I'm not planning on stabbing anyone anytime soon, or ever, for that matter.

What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation?
What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation/wondered if they are GLBT? I vaguely recall seeing some statistic that about 50% of American teenagers have, but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated (I'm writing a paper). What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation?
probably almost all females, and some males, overall, I'd guess 70% (just a guess)What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation?
I suspect it's much lower. I'll bet lower than 30%
Prolly 99.9% of all girls and 60% of guys
I'm going to totally make this up and pull it out of my ***. I'll say 75% question their orientation, since theres a reported 50% and I'd bet another 25% scared to say anything.
Doesn't matter though, you're researching a paper on the internet. You deserve fake data.
I would think that this number would be very much lower because most people are normal and live normal lives.

Are there any healthy diet pills that work for teenagers?
I'm 20 pounds overweight. HELP!Are there any healthy diet pills that work for teenagers?
None really work. Read the labels...they ALL say the same thing. Something along the lines of ';if you take this pill with a calorie-reduced diet and regular exercise, you MAY lose weight.'; Even the so-called natural ones carry dangers with them that are not worth it.
There's only one safe way to lose weight effectively, and that is to eat a LITTLE less (by 200-400 calories) than the amount of calories you need to use in a day. If you eat too much less, you body goes into fat storage mode, and your attempts at starving yourself will backfire, as you will get fat quickly again when you start eating again.
Go to the site below to get info on how many calories you need in a day. You can enter your personal information and get a free report.
Go to weight watchers if you really want an effective way to lose weight and keep it off.Are there any healthy diet pills that work for teenagers?
there are no healthy diet pills period. diet pills are never good for anyone including teenagers. If you are overweight try to eat lots of fruits/veggies/lowfat dairy products. Don't eat the energy bars, atkins bars, or slim fast stuff. It's more unhealthy for you than ordinary chocolate.
best answer is to exercise, diet pills are not the way out..
once you start taking pills, you have to take them for life, and if you stop taking them,(from experience) there are serious side-effects.
Consult a doc if you do use a diet pill
Diet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Excuses!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have struggled with my weight for years and no pill is entirely safe or completely effective. The way I lost weight was to go to weight watchers and really learn how to portion control and make better choices as far as food. I would seriously suggest going to a program such as weight watchers and start an exercise routine, perhaps join a gym.
Diet Pills aren't the solution to being overweight. They will only hurt you in the long run. My recommendation is drink a lot of water, atleast 8 glasses a day because it will curb your appetite, also eat a lot of little meals every day instead of 3 big meals or only eating once a day, if you have an orange a piece of toast and a glass of milk for breakfast, then have an energy bar (like Tigers Milk or Nutri Grain) for a snack before lunch then at lunch you won't be very hungry so have just 1/2 a sandwhich and an apple, then have some pretzels or another little snack after school, then eat whatever your mom makes for dinner, just avoid too much bread, salt or sugar and eat little portions, then have a glass of milk near bedtime, if you drink a glass of water before every meal and eat often your body won't think it is being starved and won't store fat and your metabloism will naturally speed up which should cause you to lose weight, try to exercise, find a dance class or video or go bike riding, anything to get your body moving and your heart pumping is good for you. Keep a food journal too and see how much of your diet is junk food, salt, sugar or bad fats and then you will know what to cut out and replace with a healthy alternative. If all else fails see if your parents will help you pay for the nutrisystem diet or if you are extrememly self conscious ask your parents to let you see your doctor who may recommend a nutritioinst for you. Stay healthy! Jenn
No!! Don't cheat. If you want a healthy good looking body you are going to have to work at it.
Good luck
Don't know but I#d sure like to know
I don't know of any pills that are not harmful in some way, loosing weight is not a mystery. Watermelon eat as much as you want!!! The biggest thing is stop eating bread potatoes rice, anything with starch. If you eat only fresh fruit and veggies you will loose wieght in no time.I stopped drinking soda once and lost 10 pounds in a week!!!Stay away from candy chips anything processed. I was a teenage fatty too and I lost my wieght doing these things 25 years ago. Try nto get a pet if you don't have one .If you walk only 20 min a day this will raise your metabilism which will burn calories. Good Luck to you... It's all brain power. You can do it!!!eye tips

Where can you go for NYE family break with teenagers and small children?
Want details of somewhere in the uk with entertainment for all the family for Dec 31st 2007.Where can you go for NYE family break with teenagers and small children?
Somewhere like Alton Towers would be the ideal place (see http://www.altontowers.com/resort/festiv鈥?/a> as guide to what is on offer) since there will be activities to keep everyone occupied, despite age. Centre Parcs is also another good option since weather won't be something for you to worry about so much as there are many indoors activities (http://www.centerparcs.co.uk/discover/to鈥?/a>Where can you go for NYE family break with teenagers and small children?

Why would the Somalian teenagers shoot Captain Phillips when one was negotiating with the US?
So what if they were teenagers? They boarded a vessel illegally, with weapons, then took someone hostage and threatened his life.
I think the eradication of this scum is the right approach. Softly-softly hasn't worked in this country with petty crime, which is why petty crime has now escalated to violent robberies and the continually news of stabbings in the streets.
Anyway, to answer your question - whether they shot him or not is irrelevant. They had loaded weapons and threatened his life. They may have been bluffing, but a man's life is one hell of a gamble, isn't it?Why would the Somalian teenagers shoot Captain Phillips when one was negotiating with the US?
Why would the somalian teenagers even take him as a hostage,
why do criminals do what they do, if we knew that then there would
not be any. Why would one wait to see if the Somalian teenagers
would shoot the captain, especially when they had a rifle pointed
at him. The best thing that happened is that no one waited to find out.Why would the Somalian teenagers shoot Captain Phillips when one was negotiating with the US?
They didn't shoot him, the captain in my estimation is a god damn hero. Faced with certain death he gave himself up to protect his crew and seized his last chance at survival by jumping into the open sea and the SEALS had no other choice but to take out the trash. They may have been kids but they were kids of their heads on drugs with AK47's. You do not negotiate with people like that you exterminate them at all costs. The Captain deserves the CMH.
Rescues by force cannot become the rule. The principle that seafaring nations should not allow themselves to be blackmailed into paying ransoms is a noble one, but it doesn't increase the risks for the pirates. The battle against piracy cannot be a rivalry about who has the best snipers -- it is simply not clear how many new pirates are emerging. ';
';The power struggle on the Horn of Africa is far from decided, neither between the pirates and the war ships, nor between the schools of thought about the best course of action to take.';
They didn't shoot him, they were holding a gun to his back, imminent danger. I certainly would not want some freaked out teenager aiming a gun at me. At any rate, it appeared necessary to eliminate the danger of the Captain getting hurt, and I don't blame them. It's hard to have sympathy for kidnappers.
Had they shot Capt. Phillips he would not have been the first Capt. to have been shot by Pirates in recent times.
They were pirates, in the good old days they would have been strung up from the yard arms.
Well done US forces and well done President Obama.
Why would Somalian teenagers try to pirate a boat? Why would they threaten the Captains life? Those mean ole seal just dropped them on orders from our commander in chief President Obama. This is the first blood on Obamas hands.
Captain Philips was NOT shot. He appeared to be in imminent danger whilst one of the captors was negotiating with the negotiator, and the other 3 teenagers had to keep him there as their bargaining tool!
fortunately they took that information to their graves lol

Depends on if they can get good grades or not. Personally, I think its easier to do BETTER on anything without listening to music (even driving, for example). Some tunes can be distracting. I definitely feel that way, like, with homework, I can't really work without plugging in one of my Jason Falkner albums and listening. I don't know why I study better with music...it just helps. :)
Kelly
I agree. I always found I'd blend into the music and forget where I was, but then out of no where, my homework would be complete. The music always helped!
ღ◦Female◦ღ
my teacher do that all the time.
they say it keeps your mind focused on your work.
and my one teacher has us listen to classical piano crap because he says it help the brian grow.
ROFL
I do :D. I usually listen to music when I do homeworks which are easy to make.. if i have to focus then i can't listen to music cuz i can t concentrate anymore :D
I personally cannot study with music, it distracts me too much but if you find it easier to work with, I don't see why not :)
they should be allowed to listen to their ipods during doing homework but definitely not at school during classes.
I think that doing your work or studying is alot easier when i'm lisenting to my music. It helps take stress away. you should definitly do it...
When I'm writing stories, listening to music helps me get in a mood. :)
Homework might require more focus I guess.
Sometimes... Not always... They should always focus on work or study... =D
I def think it's fine.
How is it not healthy?! It's perfectly fine. =]
as long as they get the work done, i dont see anything wrong with it.
it barley works for me.
Yeah, it helps me concentrate. A lot of our teachers let us at my school because it gets us to shut up too.
no, and thats my final answer

What is your opinion on parents who have pregnant teenagers?
i believe that severe lack of discipline and guidance caused the knocking up and it is simply bad parenting when a child cannot make an appropriate decision with their own bodies. What is your opinion on parents who have pregnant teenagers?
I do not have any negativity towards parents of pregnant teens or parents of teen parents. I almost became pregnant when I was 15 years old due a broken condom, luck was with me and I did not become pregnant. However, if I had become pregnant, I would not want people to think poorly of my parents. Me choosing to have sex has nothing to do with the way that my parents raised me. My parents are great parents, they raised me well and gave me great advice to put me on a successful path. This is not always a guarantee towards teens not getting pregnant though, because people more times than not (especially teens) will do what they want and will disregard the warnings and advice of other people. Had I become pregnant at 15, I know that my parents upbringing of me would not have been the cause. My older sister did not have sex until she was 18 years old and I am not 100% sure on this but I have reason to believe that my twin sister is a virgin but I would not be surprised to find out that she has had sex with her current boyfriend, which would mean that she too waited until she was 18 to have sex. Under certain circumstances the parents could have some responsibility in the matter. For example, I was friends with a girl when I was a freshman in high school and she got pregnant (when she was 15) on her family vacation with her boyfriend, her parents gave her and her boyfriend their own separate room. This was poor decision making on the parents account, however, my friend also did some poor decision making or else she would not be a mother right now. All in all, I think that parents are not to blame for teens becoming parents. What is your opinion on parents who have pregnant teenagers?
I don't think that a pregnant teenager should reflect your opinion towards their parents. it wasn't the teens parents decision to have sex. most teens who become pregnant are very concerned about telling their parents because they think their parents will kill them, just look at all the questions on here like '; help im 16 and pregnant and i don't know how to tell my parents!?'; doesn't that tell you that their parents obviously care about their children and have been trying to teach them to make good, healthy decisions? nd would be pissed to know that they got themselves into a situation like that?
also
you said ';i believe that severe lack of discipline and guidance caused the knocking up ';
and i'd like to give you a little lesson in sex ed
getting pregnant is caused by having unprotected sex,
no amout of guidance or discipline will stop teenagers from having sex.
unless you beat your child to the point that they are terrified to have sex, but then, well, you shouldn't be a parent.
You would think so but you obviously have zero experience on what it's like to raise kids so...
Not every kid who is ';bad'; is that way because their parents suck. Just like not every kid who is ';good'; has great parents. Some kids get in trouble to please their friends, who they value more than their parents, especially if those parents actually have values they're considered ';uncool';. Some kids do really well for themselves because they lived with terrible parents and did not want to follow that path.
Parents with pregnant teens? Not always the result of not instilling values or discipline. Like I said, kids do what they want regardless of what is taught to them. At that age, being accepted is sometimes more important than doing the right thing. You can point to the parents all you want, but really even think about yourself. Are you a puppet and do EVERYTHING your parents tell you? No.
My parents were great and very strict disciplinarians. I have a good head on my shoulders and I know what I should and shouldn't do, but I still did a lot of things in my youth that I wouldn't wish my own kids to do. You're young, you're curious, you take chances. That's life.
Accidents happen, and I don't beleive its our right to judge, seeing as a silly little opinion like that isn't going to change anything at all.
And a lot of teen moms turn out to be wonderful caring mommies, and i think the parents support plays a large role in that.
That doesn't make them bad people.
Teens get put under alot of pressure with that stuff,
and still do it even when they have strict parents.
Parents can't watch their kids every second of the day.
Its the teens fault and I don't think it should reflect their
parents in any ways.
Well, i used to just pass them off as people who just didn't care about their kids until yesterday.
I found out that a girl I used to be friends with, big sister is pregnant. Her family certainly weren't bad people.. its totally down to the person.
Well thats what i think,
:)
Well it is the parents job to talk to their kids about sex and let them know how they feel about it. (Birth control, abstinence, etc.) However, ultimately it's the kids who make the decision to have sex.
I know for a fact everyone makes mistakes and in God's eyes no mistake is worse than another. I support teen parents and their parents, it takes a lot of courage to be in that position and really step up.
I think theres nothing worse then people trying to cast judgment on people the dont know. I think from your ignorent views you are not a parent yourself therefore, cannot comment on parenting. Wise up.
i don't judge them. i know accidents happen, and its not like parents can keep track of their kids 24-7. why make their lives even harder?
They are failures in instilling moral values.

You can do it!!!

Is ocean city, Maryland a good vacation spot for teenagers?
My friends and I want to go to ocean city this summer. Is this a good idea? We're all going to be 18 and 19. How much money do you think we'd need. Any ideas of nice/cheap places to stay near the beach? Any hott babes there? Cost of surfing lessons and parasailing? Is ocean city, Maryland a good vacation spot for teenagers?
Yes it is a great idea and not too expensive. There is an awesome boardwalk and two amusement parks. There are so many fine babes everywhere you look. I don't know the cost of surfing and para sailing but I thinkits affordable. You will also find a lot of affordable motels along the strip. Is ocean city, Maryland a good vacation spot for teenagers?
Ocean City MARYLAND is awesome. The boardwalk is awesome. The beach is awesome. The waves are awesome. Seriously though if i could go to ocean city right now on this day i would. The babes are hot, the bars are nice. I would say for room and having a good time you each want to bring about $500.00 to 750.00. Rooms themselves run close to a 100.00 a night. And lessons can get quite expensive and food is as well. If that is to much bring your own food and drinks. Eating out costs alot of money there. Either way expect to have crap load of fun. Spend as much time on the beach as you can.
I love ocean city!! %26amp; I'm a hot babe :) Haha, just kidding but there are lots of people your age there! My friends and I go every summer, its a great time. Theres tons of cheap places to stay down there. Theres so much to do! Buses run 24-7 so you never have to worry about driving.

How is it that a woman can keep her kids form their dad until they are teenagers, put another man on the birth?
certificate, and then have the nerve to throw all this on the dad all at once. Then she has he nerve to put him up for child support. I don' quite understand that. She shouldn't expect much of anything from him right now. Those kids know another man as Daddy, and he's been paying child support , and has been in thier lives. How could someone
be so trifiling? How is it that a woman can keep her kids form their dad until they are teenagers, put another man on the birth?
i understand what ur going through ur husband has rights, and she just cant put anyone on the birth certificate unless they were there at birth and want to take responsibilty, he can legally get joint custody though, shes just jealous of ur relationship thats why shes keeping the kids away

How to stop teenagers from committing crimes?
How can the problem be solvedHow to stop teenagers from committing crimes?
Make sure that there are activities and stuff for them to do in their local community, such as bowling, movie theaters, etc. One of the reasons why teenagers commit crimes is because they are bored. How to stop teenagers from committing crimes?
I find boarding schools in other countries, or military schools to be very effective.
Actually kids today are bored and have way too much time on their hands. They need to be kept busy.
Stop breeding. As long as teenagers exist so will the crimes, always has and always will.
The best solution is to spread awareness among the youth!!! The juvenile...infact teenagers in general need to be given proper counselling at the right age(12years) by parents, relatives, teachers and genuine friends!
For ONE thing it would be nice if kids had places to go and socialize
Nowadays there are so many restrictions, not allowed to go here or there do this or that. Can't ride your bike or skateboard on that sidewalk, don't swim in the pond, don't climb tree you might fall out.
All kids have to do is play video games and stuff like that and then they end up bored.
I think that is just one of many of the more obvious things why kids commit crimes.
No parental supervision, following the crowd and so forth are two of the more obvious
Can't stop teenagers or anyone from committing a crime!
The trouble with teenagers, they know if they are under age, the law won't do much to them!
They need to be more in control of their parents unless their parents are even worst.
Then there is no Solution to this..... the government can imply bans and life in prison punishments.... it should reduce the number of crimes but i doubt that it will stop crimes.
Stop the errosion of the American family.
One word. Youthanization. This is the idea that tight wod adults should loosen up. Because most serial killers I have seen are old men.
Several ideas come to mind. First, is ';dad/father'; involved in their lives? Dads must stay active in their lives and find common interests.
Next, give the kids musical instruments. When my teenage friends were partying and doing drugs, I was playing electric guitar. It damaged my hearing but it kept me off the streets! LOL!
Parenting classes for their parents.
You have to start when they're very little and teach them right from wrong as well as the fact that there are consequences for certain actions. You do wrong, you get punished.
Don't just say, naughty, and let them go on their merry way.
Well, we could institute a specialized nanny 911 that centers upon teenagers.
The problem as I see it is that too many parents are trying to be their kid's friends rather than parents. Spoiled brats grow up to be criminals.
Realistically - the problem will never be solved, but we can limit a lot of crimes simply by not tolerating them at all!
We have crime in this country because we tolerate it!
Other countries do not have as much crime as we do because they do not tolerate crime!
Proven fact!
allow public chav culling - although they r not the only cause they do most of it
peace out
Parenting, parenting, parenting and or Parenting classes for those who need.
Nature VS Nurture, we can see which on has prevailed over the years.
Children do has children see, they are a product of their environment.
Did I say, Parenting, Parenting, Parenting.
It would help if they had decent parents.
What kind of crimes....When I was a 10 in a little town in Iowa my sister and I got caught shoplifting...they called my grandmother..who they knew...and we got our butts paddled...Now a kid doing that would be arrested..put in the court system...
When I was 14 my sister and I took grandpa's car for a drive...ended up in a ditch..the police drove us home and we got our butts paddled...Now a kid would end up on probation for years treated like a criminal...
my sister and I grew up fine..had good families...college educated..
Give the kid a break.........
This is an ongoing problem in all departments, it is becoming so common and there is nothing really that can be done. Stiffer penalties are nothing as most of the teens friends would be in jail, thus making it appealing for them to go. Peer pressure is worse than anything the law can do im afraid!
You can't solve it, teenagers will always do what is not allowed.
But if you are talking serious crime, and not petty crimes. then you will need strong role models, good activities, ending gangs by providing a good alternative, and many police around as a deterrent
This problem can be solved by placing teenagers in an upside down position by their ankles so that they can be controlled until they reach legal age and then it will no longer be blamed on their parents when they make their decisions that result in criminal behavior. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do in regards to those who, by their brain chemistry and less-developed cognitive capacity ( which results from learning thgrough experience in the growth process ) , they will still do what they will do. Sometimes prayer can save us from the insanity we inflict on ourselves as we obseve our kids doing those things that , for the most part, we all did to some extent, and hope that they, too, will come to the realization that honesty ISthe best policy and that scially acceptable behavior providesus with a better quality of freedom.
What percent of teenagers ages have used some sort of an illicit drug in the past year?
Illegal drug use among teenagers is declining. However, the abuse of prescription drugs, especially pain relievers is increasing. Many teenagers assume that prescription drugs are safe, when in fact they are highly addictive and can cause severe side effects.
The following are some statistics regarding teenage drug and alcohol abuse:
Underage drinking costs the United States more than $58 billion every year.
40 percent of those who started drinking at age 13 or younger developed alcohol dependence later in life. Ten percent of teens who began drinking after the age of 17 developed dependence.
Ten percent of teens report that they have attended a rave, and ecstasy and other drugs were available at more than two-thirds of these raves.
Teens that drink are 50 times more likely to use cocaine than teens who never consume alcohol.
63 percent of the youth who drink alcohol say that they initially got the alcohol from their own or their friend鈥檚 homes.
Alcohol kills 6 陆 times more teenagers than all other illicit drugs combined.
Teenagers whose parents talk to them on a regular basis about the dangers of drug use are 42 percent less likely to use drugs than those whose parents don鈥檛.
More than 60 percent of teens said that drugs were sold, used, or kept at their school.
20 percent of 8th graders report that they have tried marijuana.
28 percent of teens know a classmate or friend who has used ecstasy (Teen Substance Abuse).
Approximately 15 percent of 10th and 12th graders have used amphetamines. In a study at San Francisco General Hospital, 25 percent of seizures were found to be caused by amphetamine use. An estimated 1.8 million (0.8 percent) of youth age twelve and older are current users of cocaine.

A general question directed towards the rising urban/modern teenagers in india?

Im remodeling my teenagers room does anyone have a great idea with?
he wants black of coarse i just don't want the whole room black .
he is not one of those kids that is all gothic and depressed . but he is layed back (not drugs) yes i do know him im willing to do it and have some great thought on what to do but would love to hear a few more and maybe a web site or some picture would be great.Im remodeling my teenagers room does anyone have a great idea with?
3 walls white, one black.
Gray metal loft bed, plaid gray/white/black bedding.
It'll look phenomenal with some black and white photographs of the city (bridges, buildings etc) at unique angles matted, and framed with sleek black shiny frames.Im remodeling my teenagers room does anyone have a great idea with?
I think a black and white theme is more versatile than just all black. It will also make the room look bigger. A black desk, vanity, and cabinets will look modern and be useful.

Good luck!
you can try light greys or silvers. anbd paint the edges of the door and the bottoms of the walls black. like if theres a seperator betwen the wall and the floor.
or you can ask him for what he thinks on the issue. i mean he needs to understand that a whole black roo might sound cool to his friends and him its gonna drive him mad in the long run because the colour is too imposing on the mind. he'll go crazy just like people trapped in a white room all day!
also incoporate glass. like one of those sheek modern glass desks with metal and black stuff around it. get a large smart looking one with a sheek black metallic lamp and metal black drawers to go under it. it will become afantastic study area trust me my sister and my cousin have one and its very cool looking and convenient.
just incorporate silver to calm the effect of the black.
go for high tech modern with a touch of teen.
let him make as many choiuces as possible and discuss with him what his ultimate vision of a room his. have him make sketches of what he wants!
oh... andmy question has to do with my room too... if you want, could you help me out at all? thanks!

Why do teenagers make fun of me when I listen to Country Music ?
I was stopping and waiting for my mom who was in the mall just then an SUV (Tata Safari) came very aggressively full of youths (I would call them brats).
And those kids made fun of the songs I was listening to.......Why do teenagers make fun of me when I listen to Country Music ?
What are you, 12?Why do teenagers make fun of me when I listen to Country Music ?
cause they are teenagers
what waz the songs?~! did you have some jhonny cash? in there?
Maybe because they think country music is not their type or for old people
i am a teen but i wouldnt
i think people can listen to whatever music they want, country music is pretty ok!!!!
just laugh at them back for listening to rap music which they cant even understand!!!!
listen to what you like and forget the stupids out there. all my grand kids listen to country.
Don't mind them, they have nothing better to do than to make asses of themselves. Alot of people laughed at me for listening to country also.
People give crap where crap is do
even if no one understands it... I'm talking from personal experience
or
They just wanted to give the next person they saw a hard time... I am still a kid so I been there done that and remembered it
Because they'd rather make fun of you and not by their friends. Country music is ammmaaazing. Correction, Jimmy Buffet is amazing :) Hahaha.
by the wayyy! RICHARD GERE IS AMAZING :D
Screw what they think.
Do you like the music you listen to ?
Good for you. Then turn it up to volume 10 and party on!!
depends how old you are, but the kind of music that kids listen to these days doesnt appeal to everyone. so there is no shame in listening to country music. they just think it is strange to see someone listening to that type of music around them
they are just too scared to be different
i dont think you should let this bother you. teenagers make fun of anything they can see...
Because they don't understand it and they are afraid they may like it and then they'll be teased. People who are afraid of, or do not understand something mostly will make fun of or ridicule it. Hang in there.
Just don't bother with people like that. You like the kind of music you want to,that is your opinion nobody els.I love country music even if people say to me they don't like it.Well i tell them it's my choice and i ignore them lol.
explain to them that the mosh pit is no longer the cool place to be at a concert. explain to them that toby keith is the new kid rock. even kid rock will tell them that. teens today are so angry at everything, and they have every right to be. but tell them your music is your escape for a few minutes, or your few minutes of clarity. tell them to respect that. if they can, they will understand. if they don't, they won't....... and if they don't, well ta hell with them, i'm cranking alan jackson!
Cause your a f u q i n f a g g o t who probably jerks off to pics of Richard Gere.....

Why do teenagers let a boy use them and dress like hoes?
i just wonder what is running through their heads. Why do teenagers let a boy use them and dress like hoes?
It's a lot more difficult now, being a teenager and all. Especially with the media everywhere. It's hard for a lot of these young girls to cope with not looking like women on magazines, so they show everything off, in hopes of being somewhat appealing. Why do teenagers let a boy use them and dress like hoes?
All you see on tv anymore is girls dressing like sluts and having sex with a lot of guys, and it's always beautiful women that make it look fun. So of course girls want to be beautiful and get attention like the girls in magazines get, so thats what the worlds coming to. So many girls just want attention that they'll do anything to get it. Even letting boys use them. It's say but thats all our world seems to be about anymore on television... sex.

They figure if they do it the guy will like them more but actually it's giving the guy the impression that their easy. Mostly it's for attention. They don't care that they are making a fool of them selves.
grrrrrrrrrrr i hate that stereotype... but yes i have lost a bunch of friends to that curse, so it is accurate..
i THINK they do that because they want to be needed, and then they like having people look at them or something...
Not all of them do. Dont be too quick to judge people. But actually, being on here makes you get that impression.
Some like to get fast a boyfriend.
they need attention
Not all of us do that.
Stop using bad stereotypes :]
its thier life not urs, so dont worry about it!!..

You must be presenting yourself as ';putting out'; by their definition.... I can tell you that ALL ';normal'; teenage boys are out for one thing only from any female.... they will act or do anything they need to to get the opportunity... if you are making yourself ';available'; for them to have an opportunity... even if you do not';do it';... you will be perceived as ';putting out';... ';friendship'; is not at the top of any teen boy list when it comes to teen girls... unless that is what it takes to get what they want... and the other teen girls know that... and since that is what they want also... they see you as a rival... because you are';friends'; with the boys

Brave New Worl By Huxley
Atlas Shrugged By Rand
Here are some I read and really enjoyed when I was in high school and college, both for pleasure and for class:
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. Don't judge the book based on the Hollywood interpretation. Shelley's novel is a classic of the Romantic period, and she builds upon the Greek myth of Prometheus and Milton's Paradise Lost to create a story that questions who is the monster and who is the man. Very good read, very insightful and thought-provoking.
The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. It's a tough style to master, and I'm the first to admit that it's not the easiest to read. I found it dry at first, but once I got through it, I was blown away by the story. At first glance, it seems like a ghost story. But try looking at it from a Freudian perspective and you have a whole different plot. Very clever.
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. Great classic tale of revenge and intrigue. The story is easy to follow, the plot gripping, and the characters well-developed. He also wrote The Three Musketeers, which is just as entertaining.
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller. I loved this book. I read for an assignment for a college lit class and didn't think I'd enjoy it. But it's clever and witty and humorous in a wry, satirical way. Yet at the same time, it's also dark and very disturbing. This one's highly recommended.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick. I was friends with one of my profs and convinced him to add this to the assignment list for our course. This a great book that questions the nature of humanity. It's SF at first glance, but the author was a genuine philosopher with real insight on the human condition. He also questions religion and reality in his work. This is the book that inspired the movie Blade Runner, but I find the literary version better. And if you question this book's merit as a classic, remember that in the United Kingdom Dick is regarded as one of the finest American writers of the past century, period. Great book. Also check out The Man in the High Castle and A Scanner Darkly. Both are dark and funny at the same time, and both reveal important truths about Man.
Dracula by Bram Stoker. This is another book you shouldn't judge by the movie (which was at least better than the Frankenstein adaptation). It's written in the form of correspondences and is very intelligent. Stoker used science to combat Dracula's mysticism. Engaging and smart.
The Awakening by Kate Chopin. This is the classic feminist novel. Chopin introduces us to a strong female character unhappy in her marriage and desperate enough to act out against the male influences in her life. Very poignant.
The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Wilde's classic novel is a look at the decadence of the upper class in Victorian society. It also offers some insight into his own flamboyant behavior. Filled with lavish parties and frivolous lords as well as overt references to homosexuality among the wealthy, this one is a must read.
The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway. This is my favorite Hemingway novel. Most people recommend A Farewell to Arms, but I always preferred this one. It features a semi-autobiographical hero and offers a picture into the lives of people similar to those Hemingway really associated with. Very depressing at time, and it has that trademark Hemingway style of sparse words that say more than you might think.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard. Okay, this is technically a play and not a novel, but it's one of the best plays out there and so I have to include it on this list of recommended classics. Its based on Hamlet, so it's best if you're familiar with that play before reading. It's also exceedingly witty and very dark at the same time. Stoppard questions the meaning of life (if any), death, fate, and luck. Absolutely terrific.
The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky. Most people will recommend Crime and Punishment, but this book features one of the vilest villains ever written. Seriously, its impossible not to hate this father. Definitely read it as a great introduction to Russian writers.
The Iliad by Homer. Again, not quite a novel, as it's more of an epic poem. But this is a must read simply because it's the first epic, the first great war story. It's the foundation on which much of our literature is based, and thus it's important to read if you're to understand many of the classic novels. It also tells a great, moving story. The Odyssey is another to examine, for the same reasons as the Iliad.
There are plenty more, but hopefully these will give you an idea of where you might start. Happy reading!

Do the teenagers where you live come up with the wackiest names for their babies?
or is it just where i'm from? These names are not normal, they sound ';kewl'; now, but wait until the moms, dads and babies grow up. It's like getting a bad tattoo, that you thought was nice at the time, but in 20 years time looks horrible.Do the teenagers where you live come up with the wackiest names for their babies?
I think the WORST name ive heard by a teen mother;; Vaginal.
Yes. VAGINAL!!
I used to work with this girl %26amp; one day we were talking %26amp; she said she had been at her mom's house the night before helping her younger sister fill out some invitations for her little girls 1st birthday party %26amp; she was inviting the kids in her little girls daycare class. She had a list of all the names in the class %26amp; Candice (the girl i worked with) said she came across a name...and asked her sister how to pronounce it and she said ';Ohh Thats Vaginal!'; Turns out that poor girls mom was like 16.Do the teenagers where you live come up with the wackiest names for their babies?
No, because I'm Chinese and it's kinda hard to come up with stupid sounding names in Chinese.. The English names they use are also quite common..
yes lol
someones kids on my street are torchman, antasia, princess and daisy boo
Not really where I'm from.
I've heard of those kind of names though from all kinds of age groups, not just teen mums. I heard about a middle aged mother naming her kids Fred Perry and Jack Daniels in the media. Urgh.

Around here the names sound fine it's the horrible spellings that stand out. They absolutely butcher classic names so their kids are unique.
Yes. One of the local conventions is to invent names for children which contain elements of the father's and the mother's names or are perhaps variants on the name of one parent. If your dad was called Derek and your mother Marilyn, for example, you could end up being Derlyn. If you were a boy and your dad was named Sean, you might be De'Shaun. Or they just string pretty syllables together to make up something unusual. Because the names are completely unfashionable, at least they can't sound dated in the way that names like Cuthbert and Ethel tend to be. But it must be a pain trying to get people to remember your name and, more importantly, to write it down correctly.
Eh, not quite. I know plenty of adults who give their kids jacked up names.
That's quite stereotypical, a lot of older parents also use 'unique' names and there's teen parents who use traditional names.
Also lots of children have unusual names and spellings now so I guess in 20 years there will be a load of people with names like Neveah
No, not where I'm from. They end up naming their kids common names. There's Anndrea Elaine, Charles Everett, Ava Marie, and Jayden Sage. They have good common sense when it comes to naming their kids.
Yes, all the time.

Why do teenagers drink themselves silly?
I'm 17, male and hardly ever drunk in my life. Yes, i'm one of a kind but I don't care. I just hate teens who drink themselves silly because basically its just killing them at the end of the day. I only care for my health and if I started wasting my money on alcohol then I would be desperate.
I know I only live once but I want a healthy life with no mishaps because of alcohol. I just find it unbelievable how much little kids drink and what it must be doing to their systems. If only they knew ... they don't seem to care anyway. Why do teenagers drink themselves silly?
There are lots of reasons but I think the main one is the bad example set by role models, because princes and their girlfriends do it, because sports stars are always in the news when they get drunk, and especially pop singers, even female ones who think it's ok to be out of their minds.
Alcohol is cheaper now than it's been for years, supermarkets sell it cheaper than water, you have a government which thought 24 hour drinking was ok and now regret it etc. etc.Why do teenagers drink themselves silly?
It's definitely about being cool. If you want to fit in, you have no choice but to drink, smoke, sometimes even do drugs. It's not fair but that's just the way it is, at least it is this way where I live.
Most of the kids think they need to get drunk in order to have fun - I guess even the tough ones are a bit insecure :)
But, as you said, there's more to life than having fun once in a while (let's hope this doesn't mean getting completely wasted a few times a month!). It's also about who you'll be in 10-year-time, for example, and 'having fun' in a rehab doesn't seem to be the best option.
My guess it is a fashion and it will pass just like all the other teen crazes of the past. The more the media create a moral panic about it, the more kids are likely to want to do it, just to flex their independence. I think they are also bored; as a society we don't seem to have a vision of what we want to create. We are fed mediocre entertainments, dead end jobs for the masses, and unattainable celebrity.
you hate cause you dont live that life..your HATE IS stupid idiotic, and pointless, and strives from your so called failures in life...if its so umimportant, to you..than why would you hate it...I LOVE to party, smoke weed, chill with girls, get drunk occasionally, the only thing i dont like is, fakes, who barley do sh#t, get caught once by their parents, and than talk about the hard life..if you love to party you will continue,, by the way i No allot about drugs, and many other things, i no the consquences, and things that happen, when you smoke harmless herb, and when you trip shrooms or acid...
SOME other people, say you have 1 life so i party
I would have to say that it's because they are teenagers. Young, dumb and full of.... you get my point, they don't have enough life experience to make good decisions. Other reasons include peer pressure and the desire to be cool. I would have to say, though, that the better question might be... Why do adults drink themselves silly?
I hate to point a finger, but the media can make it hard for teens to understand that fun is about a lot more than drinking. Not to say that some don't do it for other reasons.
Because their idea of drinking is to drink as many as you can in short space of time.
theres nothing wrong with experimenting... that is how you learn.
experimenting and learning is what teens do as part of growing up
They think it makes them look big and probably most of them dont even like the taste. Im with you on the health issue
cus they think they're being all grown up and actin 'cool' in front of their mates. :l
they learn this at home. they are practicing to be adult a--holes.eye tips

Do your teenagers raid the refrigerator as soon as they walk in the door after schooL?
GEESH! It's like they're magnetized to it!Do your teenagers raid the refrigerator as soon as they walk in the door after schooL?
Haha, well when i go to school i don't eat breakfast or lunch so when i come home i'm kind of hungry but the only thing i do when i go in the refrigerator, when i get home is get a drink because i'm usually thirsty from walking home, i walk far when i walk home from school :)Do your teenagers raid the refrigerator as soon as they walk in the door after schooL?
Haha, I do. Usually when I do it's either A) I'm sooooo thirsty. B) I didn't eat lunch and I'm starving now! Sometimes when I come home from school, I'm not hungry at all and I'm not even looking to eat something - yet I feel the need to open than darn fridge.
Sometimes. LOL.Sometimes the school lunch is nasty (or there isn't anything suitable for Vegetarians) so I get so hungry! lol... and of course the first thing I do when I get home is eaaaaaaaaat! But when I'm not hungry I change out of school uniform first.. then eat! ^_^
My son's only 2-1/2, and he wants a snack as soon as he gets home from the sitter's.
And as a teen, I always made a bee-line to the fridge as soon as I got home!
It's an unwritten law!
Yup, Im a teenager, and as soon as Im home, I get some juice, then just munch on crap, Im always thirsty and hungry after school cos I walk home :)
Yes, my kids raid the fridge and the cabinets immediately! They say they are ';starving'; when they get home.

What is a great state to visit for teenagers (17+ up)?
My friends and I want to go somewhere over the summer.
Not museums and waterparks.
Just a great cheap nice beach like myrtle beach.
We would go there for about three nights.
About 5 or 6 of us.
We want something like a beach nearby, nice hotel to stay in, nice areas to eat, and water activites? What is a great state to visit for teenagers (17+ up)?

Why are teenagers using wrinkle cream?
Some girls in my school said they use wrinkle cream because they dont want to get old. Their skin looks really tight and ugly but they dont care as long as they dont age. Is it just me or is that really weird. Im scared of getting old too but that's just crazy. My friend ashley said that if u start using wrinkle cream now then u wont get any when u get old.Why are teenagers using wrinkle cream?
Is it an actual cream for wrinkles or just a moisturizer?
Oil of Olay is a moisturizer that will help keep your skin elastic so you don't get wrinkles. It's a wrinkle prevention cream more than a wrinkle remover, but I've heard it called a ';wrinkle cream'; before. Why are teenagers using wrinkle cream?
well those girls at ur school dont know it, but they are ruining their skin every time they use that stuff! if u use something that ur skin doesnt need, all it does is make it worse. so those girls might not have wrinkly skin but theyll develop ugly skin conditions when they get older! but if ur skin is actually wrinkly, then those creams are needed but using them when u dont have any is just CRAZY!
and dont worry about getting old. there are new types of plastic surgery every month...and then theres botox!
i know i was wondering that too it's not for teenagers it's for people with pre aged skin.anyways they probably are just bored or have an addiction to creams, makeup, etc
Teens are starting to use wrinkle cream to prevent future wrinkles, the problem is, everyone gets wrinkles!!! They are just delaying the process.
Well, our bodies actually begin to decline in our early twenties. The immune system and skin cell production decreases dramatically. A little cream couldn't hurt anyone! Its best to moisturize your face with SOMETHING everyday.
I was watching on t.v. one day and they said the younger you use it the less chance you will have of getting wrinkels when your older but you cant believe what you hear on t.v.
my moms a dermatoligst and she says if you use it not it mostlikly wolnt have anyaffect on you when ur older.
so the girls in your school are just wasting there time.
I used to use it, because it smelled good, and it made my skin soft (i usually don't use lotion because my face breaks out, but wrinkle cream doesn't). And also because it was a free sample from Bath %26amp; Body Works.
I think that is stupid. A lot that causes wrinkles is UV rays and smoking. That is why a lot of people wear sunscreen year round. So if you hear someone who uses sunscreen a lot is good. But wrinkle cream at that age is just stupid. =)
Taking good care of your skin is always a good idea but you can't prevent aging.
What is dumb is using products that are not right for your skin. If these products are making their skin look too tight and dry than they are over using the wrong product and that can make them look old.
If they are so concerned, they should seek a consultation with an esthetician for good skin health tips.
In the mean time, just enjoy looking good and being young. Don't waste time worrying about aging or you'll look back and wish you hadn't.
We live in an image-obsessed culture. People will do anything to look young and fit. Just being a teenager is beautiful, yeah, you don't nee wrinkle cream. Stay out of the sun, don't smoke, drink water, get some exercise-- you'll be fine. You'd be amazed how healthy living keeps people looking young WAY better than any product or surgery can.

How do teenagers manipulate each other in the areas of dating and creating situations that may lead to........
romance, the beginning of relationships, etc.?
And I mean HOW DO THEY, not DO THEY, not WHY DO THEY.
Once again:

peer pressureHow do teenagers manipulate each other in the areas of dating and creating situations that may lead to........
this question is ambiguously worded. teens see other teens and want to copy them. teens want to show off. being a teen=being in a different world than everyone else so they are more likely to get affected by a teen than an adult..also they want to fit in coz they think that will improve their chances of finding/dating someone.
i guess they do it by being showy by talking by being VERY PUBLIC about their relationships and by focusing their lives on their relationships and this will rub of onto other teens.
because they are teenagers.
they are full of hormones and want to get themselves laid, and/or want to get a head start in relationships, be they meaningful or not, so they can be 'cool' to their friends.
i dont know how they do it though, because i am not a malicious manipulator (cool, it alliterates), but rather an information man, and a giver.
they're competing with each other. who has the most girls, who will have sex first and something similar. its not a real competition but its not the same if you have a dude that had sex and everything and a dude who is a virgin and they're in the same 'gang' you know.
well... it's easier when the other person already has a crush on him or her. you ask them out and simply act in ways that you know they''ll find appealing. it's the same as adults manipulating each other, only teenagers aren't prepared or cautious enough yet to notice it.
Actively try to become involved in the other person's life. Show intrests in what they do.
