depends on the degree of ugliness were talking about here. if u mean like burn victim status then the ugly ones
but if you mean just regular ugly, then the good looking ones for sure.
Wow are you serious you are asking this question?!
who do you think?
This is the world of fashion and looks.
If your ugly your rather
A) teased until you cry or
B) invisible to all those who are ';Hawt.';
i dont think its who looks better depending on the guy's motives. i think it is more abt who looks more vulnerable.
i think good looking, because people will always be looking at them and with the ugly, i'm sorry, people dont wanna give them the wrong hint incase they think they like them.... wow that was a ****** thing to say sory

Do you think teenagers should be allowed to listen to their ipods when they're doing work/studying?
Health-wise I know it's not that good, but I personally find it easier to work with. Anybody else feel this way? Feel free to give other opinions.. :)Do you think teenagers should be allowed to listen to their ipods when they're doing work/studying?
I used too listen to my ipod when i was working and honestly i found it distracting, i always got too involved with the music and found myself jumping around the room screaming the lyrics instead of actually working, classical music is supposed to be great for studying as it improves you IQ and makes you think but i'm not sure many teens would want to listen to classical so i say nothing is best.
Edit- I'd just like to add that if you find studying/working with music on isn't distracting for you and helps you work then i don't see a problem with it, when i answered i talked about what works for me but it's different with everyone.
=]Do you think teenagers should be allowed to listen to their ipods when they're doing work/studying?
Depends on if they can get good grades or not. Personally, I think its easier to do BETTER on anything without listening to music (even driving, for example). Some tunes can be distracting. The thing about it is, kids can dowload just about anything on those, and we NEVER hear it. As a parent, that is scary-you SHOULD know everything about what your child does as a teen (there WILL be some things, I'm sure).
I actually did a study on this subject at University (using discmans because they were the technology at the time) and found that students thought they were more focused but actually made more mistakes. We gave them math tests and reading comprehension and the group who weren't listening to a discman did better across the board than in similar tests taken in silence.
Unless there's evidence it's distracting them then I don't see the problem during private study. Though not during class obviously.
Some people work better with music, some without. Unless there's a noticeable drop in marks/grades when the iPod is being used, I think it's okay.
hows it not healthy? unless u have it full blast
i think its good.. because even though it might be a bit distracting at least it makes doing work more enjoyable
for me its either do homework listening to music... or no homework at all
so i guess thats the better option :D
Yeah I feel that way if I have to study or homework I have to listen to my iPod and at my school we get to have our iPods so there's a lot of student that listen to thier iPods while doing there work
I definitely feel that way, like, with homework, I can't really work without plugging in one of my Jason Falkner albums and listening. I don't know why I study better with music...it just helps. :)
Kelly
I agree. I always found I'd blend into the music and forget where I was, but then out of no where, my homework would be complete. The music always helped!
ღ◦Female◦ღ
my teacher do that all the time.
they say it keeps your mind focused on your work.
and my one teacher has us listen to classical piano crap because he says it help the brian grow.
ROFL
I do :D. I usually listen to music when I do homeworks which are easy to make.. if i have to focus then i can't listen to music cuz i can t concentrate anymore :D
I personally cannot study with music, it distracts me too much but if you find it easier to work with, I don't see why not :)
they should be allowed to listen to their ipods during doing homework but definitely not at school during classes.
I think that doing your work or studying is alot easier when i'm lisenting to my music. It helps take stress away. you should definitly do it...
When I'm writing stories, listening to music helps me get in a mood. :)
Homework might require more focus I guess.
Sometimes... Not always... They should always focus on work or study... =D
I def think it's fine.
How is it not healthy?! It's perfectly fine. =]
as long as they get the work done, i dont see anything wrong with it.
it barley works for me.
Yeah, it helps me concentrate. A lot of our teachers let us at my school because it gets us to shut up too.
no, and thats my final answereye tips

What is your opinion on parents who have pregnant teenagers?
i believe that severe lack of discipline and guidance caused the knocking up and it is simply bad parenting when a child cannot make an appropriate decision with their own bodies. What is your opinion on parents who have pregnant teenagers?
I do not have any negativity towards parents of pregnant teens or parents of teen parents. I almost became pregnant when I was 15 years old due a broken condom, luck was with me and I did not become pregnant. However, if I had become pregnant, I would not want people to think poorly of my parents. Me choosing to have sex has nothing to do with the way that my parents raised me. My parents are great parents, they raised me well and gave me great advice to put me on a successful path. This is not always a guarantee towards teens not getting pregnant though, because people more times than not (especially teens) will do what they want and will disregard the warnings and advice of other people. Had I become pregnant at 15, I know that my parents upbringing of me would not have been the cause. My older sister did not have sex until she was 18 years old and I am not 100% sure on this but I have reason to believe that my twin sister is a virgin but I would not be surprised to find out that she has had sex with her current boyfriend, which would mean that she too waited until she was 18 to have sex. Under certain circumstances the parents could have some responsibility in the matter. For example, I was friends with a girl when I was a freshman in high school and she got pregnant (when she was 15) on her family vacation with her boyfriend, her parents gave her and her boyfriend their own separate room. This was poor decision making on the parents account, however, my friend also did some poor decision making or else she would not be a mother right now. All in all, I think that parents are not to blame for teens becoming parents. What is your opinion on parents who have pregnant teenagers?
I don't think that a pregnant teenager should reflect your opinion towards their parents. it wasn't the teens parents decision to have sex. most teens who become pregnant are very concerned about telling their parents because they think their parents will kill them, just look at all the questions on here like '; help im 16 and pregnant and i don't know how to tell my parents!?'; doesn't that tell you that their parents obviously care about their children and have been trying to teach them to make good, healthy decisions? nd would be pissed to know that they got themselves into a situation like that?
also
you said ';i believe that severe lack of discipline and guidance caused the knocking up ';
and i'd like to give you a little lesson in sex ed
getting pregnant is caused by having unprotected sex,
no amout of guidance or discipline will stop teenagers from having sex.
unless you beat your child to the point that they are terrified to have sex, but then, well, you shouldn't be a parent.
You would think so but you obviously have zero experience on what it's like to raise kids so...
Not every kid who is ';bad'; is that way because their parents suck. Just like not every kid who is ';good'; has great parents. Some kids get in trouble to please their friends, who they value more than their parents, especially if those parents actually have values they're considered ';uncool';. Some kids do really well for themselves because they lived with terrible parents and did not want to follow that path.
Parents with pregnant teens? Not always the result of not instilling values or discipline. Like I said, kids do what they want regardless of what is taught to them. At that age, being accepted is sometimes more important than doing the right thing. You can point to the parents all you want, but really even think about yourself. Are you a puppet and do EVERYTHING your parents tell you? No.
My parents were great and very strict disciplinarians. I have a good head on my shoulders and I know what I should and shouldn't do, but I still did a lot of things in my youth that I wouldn't wish my own kids to do. You're young, you're curious, you take chances. That's life.
Accidents happen, and I don't beleive its our right to judge, seeing as a silly little opinion like that isn't going to change anything at all.
And a lot of teen moms turn out to be wonderful caring mommies, and i think the parents support plays a large role in that.
That doesn't make them bad people.
Teens get put under alot of pressure with that stuff,
and still do it even when they have strict parents.
Parents can't watch their kids every second of the day.
Its the teens fault and I don't think it should reflect their
parents in any ways.
Well, i used to just pass them off as people who just didn't care about their kids until yesterday.
I found out that a girl I used to be friends with, big sister is pregnant. Her family certainly weren't bad people.. its totally down to the person.
Well thats what i think,
:)
Well it is the parents job to talk to their kids about sex and let them know how they feel about it. (Birth control, abstinence, etc.) However, ultimately it's the kids who make the decision to have sex.
I know for a fact everyone makes mistakes and in God's eyes no mistake is worse than another. I support teen parents and their parents, it takes a lot of courage to be in that position and really step up.
I think theres nothing worse then people trying to cast judgment on people the dont know. I think from your ignorent views you are not a parent yourself therefore, cannot comment on parenting. Wise up.
i don't judge them. i know accidents happen, and its not like parents can keep track of their kids 24-7. why make their lives even harder?
They are failures in instilling moral values.

Does the presentation of crime in video games influence teenagers to commit offences?
I'm more of the view that bad parenting does.
I play pretty violent games, watch violent movies etc... but I'm not planning on stabbing anyone anytime soon, or ever, for that matter.

What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation?
What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation/wondered if they are GLBT? I vaguely recall seeing some statistic that about 50% of American teenagers have, but I can't seem to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated (I'm writing a paper). What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation?
probably almost all females, and some males, overall, I'd guess 70% (just a guess)What percentage of teenagers have questioned their sexual orientation?
I suspect it's much lower. I'll bet lower than 30%
Prolly 99.9% of all girls and 60% of guys
I'm going to totally make this up and pull it out of my ***. I'll say 75% question their orientation, since theres a reported 50% and I'd bet another 25% scared to say anything.
Doesn't matter though, you're researching a paper on the internet. You deserve fake data.
I would think that this number would be very much lower because most people are normal and live normal lives.

Are there any healthy diet pills that work for teenagers?
I'm 20 pounds overweight. HELP!Are there any healthy diet pills that work for teenagers?
None really work. Read the labels...they ALL say the same thing. Something along the lines of ';if you take this pill with a calorie-reduced diet and regular exercise, you MAY lose weight.'; Even the so-called natural ones carry dangers with them that are not worth it.
There's only one safe way to lose weight effectively, and that is to eat a LITTLE less (by 200-400 calories) than the amount of calories you need to use in a day. If you eat too much less, you body goes into fat storage mode, and your attempts at starving yourself will backfire, as you will get fat quickly again when you start eating again.
Go to the site below to get info on how many calories you need in a day. You can enter your personal information and get a free report.
Go to weight watchers if you really want an effective way to lose weight and keep it off.Are there any healthy diet pills that work for teenagers?
there are no healthy diet pills period. diet pills are never good for anyone including teenagers. If you are overweight try to eat lots of fruits/veggies/lowfat dairy products. Don't eat the energy bars, atkins bars, or slim fast stuff. It's more unhealthy for you than ordinary chocolate.
best answer is to exercise, diet pills are not the way out..
once you start taking pills, you have to take them for life, and if you stop taking them,(from experience) there are serious side-effects.
Consult a doc if you do use a diet pill
Diet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exercise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No Excuses!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have struggled with my weight for years and no pill is entirely safe or completely effective. The way I lost weight was to go to weight watchers and really learn how to portion control and make better choices as far as food. I would seriously suggest going to a program such as weight watchers and start an exercise routine, perhaps join a gym.
Diet Pills aren't the solution to being overweight. They will only hurt you in the long run. My recommendation is drink a lot of water, atleast 8 glasses a day because it will curb your appetite, also eat a lot of little meals every day instead of 3 big meals or only eating once a day, if you have an orange a piece of toast and a glass of milk for breakfast, then have an energy bar (like Tigers Milk or Nutri Grain) for a snack before lunch then at lunch you won't be very hungry so have just 1/2 a sandwhich and an apple, then have some pretzels or another little snack after school, then eat whatever your mom makes for dinner, just avoid too much bread, salt or sugar and eat little portions, then have a glass of milk near bedtime, if you drink a glass of water before every meal and eat often your body won't think it is being starved and won't store fat and your metabloism will naturally speed up which should cause you to lose weight, try to exercise, find a dance class or video or go bike riding, anything to get your body moving and your heart pumping is good for you. Keep a food journal too and see how much of your diet is junk food, salt, sugar or bad fats and then you will know what to cut out and replace with a healthy alternative. If all else fails see if your parents will help you pay for the nutrisystem diet or if you are extrememly self conscious ask your parents to let you see your doctor who may recommend a nutritioinst for you. Stay healthy! Jenn
No!! Don't cheat. If you want a healthy good looking body you are going to have to work at it.
Good luck
Don't know but I#d sure like to know
I don't know of any pills that are not harmful in some way, loosing weight is not a mystery. Watermelon eat as much as you want!!! The biggest thing is stop eating bread potatoes rice, anything with starch. If you eat only fresh fruit and veggies you will loose wieght in no time.I stopped drinking soda once and lost 10 pounds in a week!!!Stay away from candy chips anything processed. I was a teenage fatty too and I lost my wieght doing these things 25 years ago. Try nto get a pet if you don't have one .If you walk only 20 min a day this will raise your metabilism which will burn calories. Good Luck to you... It's all brain power. You can do it!!!
